Erik Brandt Dam

Erik Brandt Dam (b. 1960) graduated as an architect from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 1986. After working for Kristian Isager architects, DOMUS architects and KHR architects, he established the design studio Erik Brandt Dam Arkitekter ApS in 1996, which he owns. Since 1998, he has been an associate professor at the Danish Academy of Fine Arts' Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK).


Dam has led several projects, including the renovation of BISPEBJERG'S HEALING GARDEN, KONGENS PORT - Fredericia Vold, The Five Halder, Sundby Cemetery - an oasis of contemplation and "The City behind the dike" in Højer.

Known for his approach to architecture that respects the context of the site and the needs of the user, Dam is also committed to sustainable architecture and has implemented solutions such as green roofs, solar panels and recycled materials in several of his projects.

Dam is also an experienced educator and speaker, sharing his expertise with the next generation of architects. He continues to shape cities and contribute to the development of architecture with every project he leads.
